Obituary
Nancy Virginia Tietgen passed from this life on October 8, 2015, her 68th birthday.
Nancy was the only child of Harry Tietgen and Marjorie Virginia (Johnston) Tietgen, who both predeceased her. She lived in Tulsa her entire life. She attended Lombard Grade School and Roosevelt Junior High. She graduated from Central High School in 1965, where she was a class leader. She continued to be active in the Class Alumni Association.
After high school, Nancy worked at Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator while obtaining advanced training. She then began her career at Shell Oil Company and rose through the ranks from keypunch operator to systems analyst, retiring in 1998. She served as the Shell Mid-Central Alumni Association Secretary for many years. She was associated with the Church of Christ, Scientist.
She is survived by her cousin Jane Tinnin, Overland Park, KS and many friends, including Central High School classmates and her Shell CCC family.
A memorial service will be held at Moore's Southlawn Chapel on Friday, October 16 at 1:00 p.m. with The Rev. Connie Murray-Ichord officiating. Nancy's ashes will be interred at Memorial Park Cemetery with her mother, Marjorie V. Tietgen. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
