Dianna Rosalie Stockton

Dianna Rosalie (Black) Stockton, 74, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, left this world for Heaven on February 8, 2025, with her family by her side. Born on April 16, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dianna was a Rogers High School graduate and a life-long resident of the Tulsa area. She shared 54 years of marriage with the love of her life David K. Stockton. Dianna and David formed the strongest, most dedicated, and fun-loving team as they journeyed through life together, raising two children, Darla K. (Stockton) Roden and David M. Stockton, in Broken Arrow. Dianna had a strong work ethic and enjoyed a career working in a variety of accounting functions. She held jobs with a number of local companies, ranging from the Tulsa Tribune to Oklahoma Truck Supply, and supported the family business, Preferred Automotive. She retired in 2019 from American Airlines after more than 25 years as a respected friend and colleague. Both at work and in her personal life, Dianna had a keen eye for detail and organization, a quick sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She was kind, considerate of others, always finding a way to lend a hand. She enjoyed her friends and was happy to share life's highs and lows with them. Most important to Dianna was her family. She loved her family fiercely, always looking to do what was best for them. She deeply loved her husband David, found joy in making a home for them and in sharing adventures at home and on the road. More recently, Dianna enjoyed spending hours with David scouring flea markets and estate sales for special treasures for their home. Together, Dianna and David have been an unstoppable team, creating a very special life for their family. Dianna was a dedicated mother who, despite her career, found time to support the activities of her children, whether it was Brownies, Cub Scouts, sewing flags for the color guard of the Broken Arrow Pride Marching Band, or attending innumerable soccer games at the club, high school, Olympic Development Team, college, and even college coaching levels. She loved to cook a big family holiday meal, collecting everyone at home. Dianna found great happiness in her grandchildren, showering them with love and supporting them at soccer, football, and field hockey games, as well as just simply playing or cooking with them. She never missed a birthday or a holiday. She was thrilled to welcome her newest granddaughter, Charlotte, on January 30, 2025. Dianna is survived by her husband, David, and their children, Darla (Stockton) Roden, her husband Mark, with grandchildren Henry and Eleanor of Dallas, Texas, and David M. Stockton and his wife Shannon, with grandchildren Zachary and Charlotte, of Surprise, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor M. Gregory, stepfather, Ron Gregory, and father, Paul Black. A service will be held at 2pm on February 19, 2025, at the Saints Valley Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, followed by a brief graveside at Memorial Park. A gathering at the Stockton family home in Broken Arrow will follow.
