Linda Sue Clyne

CLYNE-TUCKER, Linda Sue, 69, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Houston, passed into eternity on July 27, 2016 in Oklahoma City. Linda was born on March 28, 1947 to Mary Sue and Lester Tucker. Linda attended Muskogee Central High School and graduated from Northeastern State University. She was preceded in death by her parents Lester Davis and Mary Sue Tucker, her husband Wesley C. Clyne. Above all, Linda and Wesley were Servants to the Lord. Everywhere they went they were a testament to His Word. Linda and Wesley were founding members of Christview Christian Church in Tulsa, and were also founding members of Northside Christian Church in Houston, TX. Linda is survived by her loving family, Brother L. Dee Tucker and wife Kathy of Edmond, OK. Also very dear to her were her nephews, Brodie Tucker and wife Rachelle, Brett Tucker and wife Irina and niece, Makensie Evans and husband David. As well, great-nieces and nephews Madeline and Wyatt Tucker, Corey and Liliana Tucker and Grayson Tucker Evans. Linda was faithful to her Lord and Savior, and always put his love first. Linda loved her puppies to an unbelievable depth, they WERE her children. We appreciate all the many friends and caregivers that have supported Linda and her family through this difficult time. Services will be held at Memorial Cemetery Chapel at 2:30 p.m. on August 1, 2016. We are praying for His love and comfort at this time. We are so thankful that we can stand on God's promise and know that when we die, we are instantly in His presence. As Linda's heart stopped beating on Earth, in the next instant God made it beat again. We passed Linda from our arms to His, and He passed Linda from His arms to Wesley's. Linda, your sweet Wesley, Mother and Father are now holding you in their arms. We know that death cannot hold us because just as Jesus died and was resurrected, we know that we will also be raised to eternal life. There is such peace knowing there will be no more tears, no more sorrow, no more pain. What precious and great promises He has given us. We know that nothing can separate us from His love. Blessed Lord please be with our precious Linda. We pray that Your tender mercies will be upon Linda now. We thank God for Linda and the faithfulness she has shown throughout her life. Amen Notes From The Family My Big Sister Linda, For sixty-eight years you were my Big Sister. For the last ten months you have been my Giant, Courageous, Unbelievably Strong Big Sister whom I will always love and miss beyond belief. My heart is heavy and the tears cannot seem to cease. For all of us guys out there who have Sisters. Between the ages of 8 and 12 or 13, we Brothers had a pact, an unwritten rule: Always refer to your Sister as "the brat". Never say anything nice or complimentary. You would never, ever tell them you love them. Well guys, I have a confession. My Sister is ADORABLE. She was the greatest big Sister anyone could ever hope for. She was simply amazing. My second confession is she was ALWAYS all of those things to me. Linda, I love you. I have always loved you. Linda and Wesley were married 33 years ago. In their early years of marriage they lived in Tulsa. Linda had a very promising future in the Petroleum Industry as a Land/Title Analyst. Wesley was nearing retirement and they decided to relocate to Houston where Linda had a rewarding career with both Hess Energy and Mosbacher Energy. Eighteen years ago Wesley passed away. Two years after Wesley's death, Linda was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis. And shortly after that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite repeated pleas from us for her to return to Oklahoma, Linda was determined to remain in Houston where she was very close to she and Wesley's church family, which has been, and still is a blessing today. She also became very attached to her neighbors. I think she may have even become attached to the disastrous Houston traffic! Ten months ago in a telephone conversation with Linda, Kathy and I could sense something was very wrong. We immediately drove to Houston and found Linda very weak, severely jaundiced, and confused. We transported her to Houston Methodist and her Liver Specialist, Dr. Ankoma-Sey who had tenderly cared for her for sixteen years. She was immediately hospitalized, the first of nine hospitalizations or so over the next ten months. She remained in Houston, in and out of hospitals and skilled nursing facilities from October through the first week of December, never once regaining her health to a level where she could return to the home where she and Wesley had so many memories. At the end of December, with the blessing of Dr. Ankoma-Sey, Kathy and I brought Linda to Oklahoma City at her request of wanting to come home to Oklahoma. From October of 2015 to July of 2016, Linda, Kathy, and I were on a mission to improve her health through rehabilitation to a level where she could be placed on the Nazi-Zudhi Liver Transplant list. The three of us exhausted every ounce of our being, every minute, every hour, every day. Again, in Oklahoma City, in and out of hospitals and skilled nursing facilities until the last week of August. Auto immune hepatitis is one of the most complex diseases we have ever encountered. The three of us had been inseparable for ten months. Spending many nights with each other. Kathy keeping Linda's hair cut and curled, her nails manicured, even showering with her. We had Thunder watch parties, popcorn and movie nights, and family visit nights galore. Our entire Family gave everything we could give to help Linda fight this terrible disease. On Thursday, August 21st, Linda was hospitalized for the last time. Her liver, so diseased it finally shut down her kidneys and caused her to develop pneumonia. Kathy and I were traveling back from a two day trip with the Grandkids when Linda was taken to the emergency room. Just as Kathy and I had responded to Linda's care for ten months, Makensie, Brett, and Brodie all three challenged each other to give Aunt Linda all of their attention, standing in for Kathy and myself. When we arrived our conversations with Linda became limited, Linda was having difficulty communicating, just one to two words at a time. Saturday the doctors told us there was little hope for recovery and the devastating reality that she would not be placed on the liver transplant list. It was recommended to start comfort care and consider Hospice. The last forty-eight hours of Linda's life were filled with the courage of a Warrior, yet the innocence and softness of My Big Sister from sixty years ago who used to take my hand and walk with me around the corner to church every Sunday morning. Through the night on Linda's final night on earth, Kathy slept on one side of her, and I on the other. Both of us holding her hands as she was fighting for every breath. As she took her last breath and her heart beat the last beat Kathy commented on the softness of her hands. For an instant I looked down and saw and felt that sweet little Big Sister hand from so many years ago that walked me to church. We knew as her heart beat the very last beat, God had rescued us and in an instant He made her heart beat again. We passed Linda from our arms to Gods. He received her, opened her eyes, and passed her from his loving arms to sweet Wesley, Mom and Dad's arms. Linda is in the Kingdom that forever Is. She is at Peace, no more pain, no more suffering. God has blessed you Big Sister, and you have blessed all of us with your presence. Heaven gained a new Angel three days ago, but I can not close without paying tribute to my family. To Kathy who placed the entire weight of Linda's healing on her shoulders, researching skilled nursing facilities, scheduling appointments, in-servicing dozens of health care workers about Linda's special needs, dotting every "I" and crossing every "T" in Linda's care. At the same time never cutting back on attention to our family and that of our children and grandchildren. Many times working through the night to keep up with her employer's work responsibilities. And to my kids, their spouses, their children, THANK YOU for loving my Big Sister with all of your hearts. Linda's Little Brother, Dee Notes For Our Heavenly Father: God, If You notice Linda repeating most of your sentences, that's just normal for Linda, We called her our little echo. But You already know that. God, She loves You with all of her heart and has been faithful to You in the highest. But You already know that. Oh yes God, she likes movies and popcorn. But You already know that. God, We are going to miss my Big Sister, But You already know that too. Sweet Linda, my sister-in-love, Sweet Linda, from your sister in-love's perspective, I watched a little brother that was determined to fight this battle all the way with you. His love and compassion was a love so deep and constant, never wavering. Every girl needs and should have a little brother like your "Little Dee", staying by your side every step of the way. Never did he walk in your room without teasing you to make you smile. I loved hearing you two banter back and forth, as I usually took your side so we would win. We will never stop remembering these precious memories. Rarely did he miss a breakfast, lunch or dinner to encourage, feed, cheerlead or bribe you into eating. You learned to watch football and love Thunder as we shared tv time together. I will miss my popcorn, game show buddy, but will always remember answering or guessing with you. Dee knew everything there was to know about what would make taking medicine, eating and walking to make it better or tolerable for you. He was your greatest cheerleader, behind the scene always letting care givers know what would help you feel better. But what I loved the most was as the time neared for him to go, he would remind you of the next meal you would have, and that he would see you then, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. Then he would kiss you on the forehead and tell you he loved you and you would tell him you loved him too. He is comforted not seeing you in pain or suffering anymore, knowing your are in paradise with your Mother, Father, Wesley and our Lord. He will forever love and cherish every moment he had with his Big Sister. We loved, love and miss you BIG, precious Linda Sue. Until we meet you in paradise, I will love and take care of your precious little brother, "Little Dee".
