Raymond Webb 8/22/1926 - 9/2/2023 Roberta Webb 7/3/1931 - 9/3/2023 After 72 years of marriage Ray and Roberta passed away within 24 hours of each other. They were married on Christmas day, always practical, they felt this would be a convenient time because many families would be in town. Regretfully, this date was often overlooked because of Christmas celebrations. Ray worked at John Deere harvester and Roberta was a schoolteacher. He was proud of being the first Webb in his family to graduate from high school. He was also very proud and reminisced frequently about his service and the merchant marines Roberta finished her masters degree in education after all of the children had left home. They traveled extensively. Much of this was related to missionary work. They helped start a church in Brasilia and travel to Brazil many times. They also spent time in Romania working with the church there. In Romania they bought an impoverished farming family a cow. The family promptly named the cow Roberta. They also helped start a church in Moline Illinois. If the church doors were open, they and their family would be present. This meant two times on Sunday and also on Wednesday evening. Their oldest son, Steve notes that the only excuse dad would accept for missing church was to have a brain tumor or worse! Ray and Roberta were very dedicated to God and very committed to their church. Ray served for decades as an elder in the church of Christ in Moline, Illinois, Springfield, Missouri, and The Park Church of Christ in Tulsa. Roberta was always at his side, assisting him and working with people in the church. Overall, they were involved in beginning eight churches. They are survived by their oldest son, Steve and his wife, Diana, Randy and his wife Insung Kim, special, nephews, Bruce and Trent Shuey Jaden and his wife, Salem, Ryan and his wife, Shelby, Blake, and his wife, Lorena, Austin, Webb, and Todd Webb. They have 10 great grandchildren. The last was born almost 3 weeks ago. Ray is survived by his younger brother Harley and his wife, Joanne of Silvis, Illinois. Roberta survived by her younger sister, Dorothy, Bowers of Lakeland, Florida. They were honest, hard-working people that will be missed by all who knew them. Special thanks goes to so many that loved and supported them. They have 10 great grandchildren, and the last was born only three weeks ago. Ray is also survived by his younger brother Harley and his wife Joanne of Silvis Illinois. They were very close through the years and annually. Took trips with Ray and Roberta as well as Bud and Joy M McDonald. Roberta is survived by her younger sister, Dorothy, Bowers of Lakeland, Florida. A special thanks goes to several individuals. Dr. Joe Reese - Ray's primary care doctor Dr. Brandon Geister - Roberta's primary care physician Mitch Wilburn, John and Susie Graham, Craig and Cheryl Beers and their grandson Papa Boston, who brought great joy to Ray and Roberta. Charlie Kimes, who is a kind and loving friend. There are many others who are very supportive, caring, and loving. They were honest, hard-working people that will be greatly missed by all that knew them. Memorial services will be at The Park Church of Christ, 10600 E. 96th St., Tulsa, OK on Saturday, September 9th at 10 AM. This will be followed by a luncheon and a graveside memorial service in the afternoon.
