Betty Kathleen "BK" Dreyer

February 28, 1947 - January 26, 2022

Betty Kathleen (B.K.) Dreyer, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and devoted follower of Christ, passed peacefully into the arms of her savior on Wednesday evening, January 26, surrounded by her husband and daughters. "BK" was born in Kansas City, MO on Feb. 28, 1947 to Betty Marie Bahret Crockett and Arthur William "Hoot" Crockett. She was raised in Kansas City in her early years before the family moved to the suburb of Raytown, MO. There she completed school graduating in 1965 from Raytown South HS. After graduation she attended the Univ of MO in Kansas City where she met her future husband Dr. Marc Dreyer. After almost 3 years in school, B.K. made application and was hired for flight attendant training by Braniff International Airlines. Upon completion of training BK flew as an active flight attendant for almost 12 years. In 1969 she married her husband Marc and together they raised 3 daughters, Mishelle, Nicole and Victoria. After leaving her 12 year career as a flight attendant, BK was a full time mother and Pastor's wife serving in a variety of jobs in the church. In 1981 the family moved to Kansas City and she went to work for Research Medical Center as the operator of their deaf relay service. After 2 years BK started her career in education going to work as a paraprofessional in the special education department of the Raytown School District. When the family moved to Tulsa, OK in 1993, BK began work as a paraprofessional and then teacher at the Little Lighthouse, a Christian preschool for special needs children. She taught there for 12 years before moving to the Broken Arrow School District in the Deaf Education Department. She retired from BA in 2021 after 20 years as an interpreter and paraprofessional. Altogether BK worked in Special Education for 40 years. Across their 52 years of marriage BK was a dedicated servant in the church, teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, working in mission's programs and a variety of lay leadership roles as she supported her pastor husband. BK was preceded to Heaven by her parents, Hoot and Betty Crockett and her oldest brother-in-law, Gary Osborn. She is survived by her husband Marc of the home, her daughter Missy and husband Joel Embry of Tulsa, daughter Victoria and her husband Brent Bergman of Tarpon Springs, FL, and daughter Nicole Dreyer of Tulsa. Grandchildren, Cortland Bergman, Lauren Embry and Carsten Bergman. Her sisters Kathy Osborn, Janice and husband Kenny Kent, Cindy and her husband "Bear" Buchanan, and Jerrilee Meeks and a host of other family members. Services will be at 11:00am Monday morning at Memorial Baptist Church, 28th & Yale Tulsa. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
