Donna Marie Todd Reynolds

April 18, 1950 - January 16, 2022

Donna Marie Todd Reynolds, 71 of Tulsa, Oklahoma was born April 18, 1950 to Ellen Marie McCright Todd and Donald Grimes Todd. Donna left us peacefully on Sunday, January 16, 2022. She was a graduate of Memorial High School, Class of 1968. Donna was an enthusiastic planner and participant in her class reunions. She enjoyed catching-up and reminiscing with her dear classmates, most being life-long friends. She attended Oklahoma State University, worked in the insurance business for more than a decade, then converted to retail, and completed her career at Paper Chase. She met her future husband, Thomas Hill Reynolds, on a blind date July 5, 1970, the two were engaged April 16, 1971, and on March 25, 1972 were married at Second Presbyterian Church in Tulsa and began a fantastic journey spanning nearly five decades. Both were excited to become parents and entered the wonderful world of parenthood on January 17, 1975 with the birth of their son, Kristopher, then daughter Valerie, born September 24, 1979. So many fun, exciting, delightful memories were made during family vacations, weekend trips to Grand Lake, outings to local parks, and spontaneous adventures. Donna was a Cub Scout Leader for Kris and a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader for Valerie. She attended all soccer and basketball games, dances, and piano recitals of her precious children. She instilled the joy of reading in both children, and as a family, they spent many hours perusing the shelves of their local library for summer reading material. She also shared her love of all genres of music, especially the Golden Oldies, with Kris and Valerie. She always had a song in her heart. Sometimes in a conversation, hearing a comment or a mere word, she would start singing a song containing same; sometimes just making up a silly song that brought amusement to all. Donna was deeply invested in her children's wellbeing. She encouraged them to follow their heart and trust their intuition. She supported their participation in a plethora of activities and was their avid cheerleader. She embraced their friends and welcomed them with open-arms; many affectionately referred to her as "Momma Donna" or "Mom Reynolds." Her love and compassion for people was enormous. She was a woman of grace, courage, pure love, and acceptance, who provided a supportive helping hand to anyone who needed it. Her greatest joy in life was being a Wife, Mother, and a Mimi.Preceded in death by her parents, Ellen McCright Todd and Donald Grimes Todd. Donna is survived by her adoring husband and the great love of her life, Thomas Hill Reynolds; her son, Kristopher Thomas Reynolds, his wife, Jessica and their three children, Emily, Matthew, and Kristin Marie; and her loving devoted daughter Valerie Suzanne Reynolds Bushyhead and her favorite son-in-law, Gregory John Harrell Bushyhead. Donna is also survived by her brother, David Bruce Todd and his wife, Patricia; and her nephew-godson, Justin Donald Todd. She leaves behind many dear cousins and treasured friends who shared many wonderful and priceless memories with her, each one having a special place in her heart. She left an indelible mark upon all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her, and a beautiful legacy for her beloved family and friends. Donna could turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary one and she loved to celebrate all victories, big or small, including birthdays, anniversaries, and all holidays, so it is only fitting that a Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st St, Tulsa, OK 74137 to honor her vivacious spirit. Memorial donations may be made in Donna's name to [Make a Wish Oklahoma] https://www.wish.org/oklahoma and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org.
