Joseph "Joe" Williams

October 1, 1940 - May 10, 2022

Joseph "Joe" Boarman Williams of Broken Arrow died May 10, 2022 at the age of 81. He was born October 1, 1940 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Harold and Ruby Williams. Joe graduated in 1959 from Central High School in Tulsa and he attended Okmulgee Tech for auto upholstery and auto body. Joe worked in several different body shops in and around the Tulsa area through the years. He loved going crappie fishing and he also like going to the rendezvous that were held in the Bernice area. He loved restoring his Model Ts and driving them around the countryside. He belonged to the Tulsa Model T Club where he made a lot of friends. Joe married Mary Lawson in March of 1987. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; two sons, Jody Williams of Tahlequah, Andy Williams of Tahlequah, stepson, Joe Lawson of Vinita; two stepdaughters, Bobbie Harper and husband Rick of Pegg, Linda Blackwell and husband Jerry of Chelsea; brother, Robert Williams and wife JoCarol of Tulsa; sister, Shirley Gore of Florida; several nieces and nephews; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
