Josephine "Jo" Rapheala Chandler Wilson Lacey was born July 15, 1927, in Los Angeles, CA, and went home to be with her Lord on December 6, 2021. An only child, born to Lucille Jeanette Truax Douglas and Joseph Rosario Douglas, both deceased, Jo married Wallace "Wally" Douglas Chandler, May 17, 1942. That union lasted 57 years. Wally preceded her in death as did their son, Wallace "Ron" Randall and daughter, Sharon Lee Chandler Crain. Jo is survived by husband, Joel Lacey; son, Rick Chandler and wife, Brenda, son-in-law, Al Crain, eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jo married Aaron Eugene "Gene" Wilson on October 6, 2001. From that marriage, Jo is also survived by her stepchildren, Kelly Carnagey and husband, Bob, Sharol Messmore and husband, Dale, and Gerald Wilson. Jo was of Spanish/French decent and had always wanted to visit Malaga, Spain, birthplace of her grandmother, Rapheala Concas. Both of Jo's spouses were ministers of the gospel. She and her first family were also gospel singers. She loved and enjoyed people. She taught many Sunday School classes and did much counseling. Her life was her Lord and her families. Jo enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, fishing and was a member of the Ridge Crest Baptist Church.
