After she and Gerald moved the family to live in Broken Arrow, OK, she worked in the cafeteria at Broken Arrow Northeast Elementary School, and later as an accountant for Eckrich Foods and Springer Clinic until she retired to her favorite job, taking care of some of her grandchildren and later children from her church.
Kathryn was a member of First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow, and was an active participant in her church where she loved to serve on the Evangelism Committee welcoming new members and on the Prayer Card Ministry. She was also active in the Mr. & Mrs. Sunday School class, until her health declined and was unable to attend.
In addition to her parents, her two brothers, Bill Bowen and Jim Bowen, and her two sisters, Mary Lou Blazer and Dorothy Baine, all preceded Kathryn in death.
