Linda Anderson

August 28, 1942 - March 26, 2022

Linda Jean Anderson, 79, of Tulsa, OK, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, March 26, 2022. She was born on Friday, August 28, 1942, in Ponca City, OK, to Clifton W. Williams and Evelyn (Hadley) Williams. Linda married the love of her life, Clarence K. Anderson, on August 4, 1962, in Ponca City, OK, and they began the beautiful adventure of celebrating 60 years together. Throughout her life she loved traveling and as an adult she loved planning and going on vacations with her family. Linda was a bookkeeper for accountants, and was an active member and volunteer of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. She took great pleasure in the simple things and very much enjoyed nature and gardening. She loved most any activity that had to do with the outdoors. She was known for rejoicing in the small details of life, and was interested in, everything. She was an avid book collector and reader. She had several collections which include, rubber stamps, light houses and the Snow Village Series. She was also on the preschool board and regularly volunteered in the church office. She had an unshakable faith, and a kind, generous, giving spirit. She exemplified grace and love toward everyone, and in everything she did. She valued her friendships and relationships, and took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always gave them unconditional love and encouragement, and it was one of her greatest pleasures to spend time with them. Linda was the proud and generous mother of Debra and Amy, and while they were young, she was very involved in many of their activities; including, a Camp Fire Leader for 20 years, Extension Home Makers, and volunteering at Hoover Elementary School's Book Fairs and school store. She was a fitness advocate and was a member of Tulsa Walking Club, and St. Francis Hospital's Health Zone's Joint Efforts Group. Linda was very talented, and exercised her creativity by creating memorable holiday crafts, cross stitch, crocheting, knitting, and made and donated baby blankets for Emergency Infant Services. Linda worked from home while her children were young by designing and making Longaberger Basket liners and covers, which she also enjoyed collecting. Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Clarence; daughters, Amy Anderson of Tulsa, OK, and Debra Schultz and husband, Kevin, of Tulsa, OK; brother, Tom Williams and wife, Paula, their daughter, Sara, of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Gayle Williams and wife, Carla Rafferty, of Ponca City, OK; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild on-the-way; and a lifetime of friends. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Memorial Service: 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 4, 2022, Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 1908 S. Memorial Dr., Tulsa, OK 74112 (918) 622-1155
