Mary Jo "Harrison" Drummond was born in Sapulpa, OK on September 9, 1930. She passed in Sand Springs, OK on January 20, 2022 at the age of 91. Mary Jo was born to Joel Kenneth Harrison and Mary Lucille Harrison. She graduated from Sapulpa High School and attended Oklahoma A&M where she met Jack Drummond, married, and birthed two children, James "Jim" Marcus Drummond of Euless, TX and Jan Lee Drummond of Sand Springs, OK. After the children were of school age, she returned to Oklahoma State University, where she completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in Family and Consumer Sciences (Home Economics). She taught at Yale High School for two years, then took a position at CE Donart High School in Stillwater, OK, where she taught Home Economics for several years. After her teaching career, she worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Vocational and Technical Education as the Southeastern District Supervisor of Home Economics teachers. She loved traveling the Southeastern District of Oklahoma, meeting with teachers, and contributing to the growth of Home Economics. She is survived by her two children, her granddaughter Anna Maria Drummond of Grapevine, TX, and her brother, Tom Harrison of Chula Vista, CA. The family has requested no public services be held. Mary Jo "Harrison" Drummond had a tremendous love of learning and traveled the world. Her epitaph has always been and will forever be, "It's been a great trip..."
