Walter W. "Pooch" Williams

February 13, 1937 - February 1, 2022

Walter Wesley "Pooch" Williams, a veteran, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He was born February 13, 1937 in Bentley, OK, the son of Teddy Williams and Pauline (Ingram) Williams. Walt graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City, May of 1956. Two weeks later he was drafted into the Army. He served on the 88nd Airborne. When Walt returned in May 1958, he married the love of his life, Evelyn Janiece (Jan) Shoemaker on November 15, 1958. They were married 63 wonderful years. Walt never met a stranger. He was a member of Southwood Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK. Walt is survived by his loving wife; brother, Harvey Lee Williams and his wife, Earnestine Kay Williams; plus numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be 10am-8pm, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Moore's Southlawn Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 11am, Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Southwood Baptist Church, with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK.
