Waneta Reynolds

June 12, 2022

Waneta A. Reynolds, age 100, of Tulsa, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022. She was born December 31, 1921 in Collinsville, OK to Chancy and Eliza Evans. Waneta was a homemaker & a member of Braden Park Baptist Church. Because of her love for helping those in need, she was instrumental in forming Eastside Meals on Wheels. Waneta served as the kitchen coordinator with Meals on Wheels for 30 years. She was always active in her community serving as a past president of the PTA & past president of WMU (Women's Missionary Union). She loved her family very much. She enjoyed caring for her daughter, Gina Reynolds, and did so in her home for 60 years. She was her grandchildren's & great-grandchildren's biggest fan. She loved attending their sporting events & cheering them along. Waneta was married to Harry Jay Reynolds for 66 years. Their marriage was one that all admired. Waneta is survived by her children, David Reynolds of Louisville, KY, Richard Reynolds of Jenks, OK and Becky DeRosier & husband, John of Mounds, OK; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; her brother, Jerry Evans and his wife, Shirley of Lenexa, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Jay Reynolds; her daughter, Gina Reynolds; her sister, Virginia Rucks; 4 brothers, Erman Evans, Wendall Evans, Edward Evans, & Ursell Evans. Memorial contributions may be made to Metro Tulsa Meals On Wheels. Memorial service will held at a later date. Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 918-622-1155
