Karl Suggs Jr., age 75, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on September 16, 2026.

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 3, 1950, to Alba Karl Suggs Sr. and Ruth Suggs, Karl lived a life marked by his deep love for-and assurance in-Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Linda Smith; his two daughters, Melody Campell (spouse, Marcus) and Lisa Morgan (spouse, Jason); four grandchildren, Gage Morgan, Carly Morgan, Olivia Campbell, and Wyatt Campbell; seven siblings, Kenny Jeffries, Suzi Mix (spouse, Darrell), Lori Jeffries, Debbie Jeffries, Dale Jeffries (spouse, Dottie), Kathy Murdock (spouse, JP), and Michael Jeffries (spouse, Bridget); and too many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members to count.

Ask Karl how he was doing, and you would get only one response: "Blessed!" His answer was as consistent as it was sincere, reflecting a deep gratitude that shaped the way he lived and brought joy and fullness to his life.

Karl's fierce love for his daughters and grandchildren was evident in all he did and to everyone who knew him. He loved to travel and loved spending time with family-even if he sometimes had to bribe them with numerous amazing and memorable vacations to make it happen!

Even so, Karl had no fear of traveling from this temporary earthly life to his everlasting home in eternity, where he longed to be reunited with his earthly mother and father and, most of all, with his Heavenly Father, who has provided him with an endless supply of His saving grace.

Karl was quick-witted, heavy on the "Dad jokes," so tight he squeaked, and extraordinarily generous with his praise and encouragement of others. He had a way of making people feel "seen" and bringing out their best.

Karl had a passion for entertaining, and he found great joy in doing it-and doing it exceedingly well. He loved to sing and was part of many bands and other musical opportunities throughout his life. He evoked countless beaming smiles (and, occasionally, terrified infant cries) during his many years creating priceless childhood memories as the REAL Santa Claus, and he honored the King of Rock with his award-winning Elvis impersonations.

Karl also became a familiar face in commercials for Mazzio's Pizza, Sonic Drive-In, Eskimo Joe's, Creek Nation Bingo, car dealerships, and many other companies locally and nationally. He had numerous roles in television, film, and theater productions and was even a regular in the long-running classic Tulsa production of The Drunkard and the Olio. For the last couple of decades, he built another beloved career, for which he is perhaps best known now, as the much-adored Mr. Money Bags.

In addition to his acting career, Karl founded, operated, and expanded Karl's Famous Burgers in Tulsa, famous not only for its burgers but also for its chicken bites-which we finally found the recipe for! One location remains at 91st & Delaware and still bears the original name.

Believe it or not, Karl also had a real job. He retired after 17 years with Union Public Schools, where he last served as Safety Coordinator.

Karl's life was filled with faith, family, laughter, music, entertaining, adventure, and an extraordinary ability to make people feel special. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially those closest to him.

Viewing for Karl will be Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Moore Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145. Family will be present for visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A celebration of Karl's life will be held Monday, September 28, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Asbury Church-Mason Chapel, 6767 S. Mingo Rd., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133.

Burial will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and will be reserved for family.
