Abraham Fawaz Nasr left this world on Tuesday April 8th 2014, at the age of seventy-five. His birth name was Fawaz Hussein Nasr, he changed his name to Abraham when he became a naturalized US citizen back in the 1990's. Fawaz admired Abraham from ancient religious texts, because of his faith and loyalty to God and Family. Abraham was born in a town located in the beautiful mountains of Lebanon, during the difficult era of world war II. Abraham's childhood was very short, he left school at a very young age in order to go work and help support his family. He worked hard all his life, specializing in construction when he was a young man. He was the best at his trade. He had a brilliant mind, a natural at mathematics, he often did the most complex mental calculations (which he liked to show off often). He was an idealist, a lifetime entrepreneur. He was a bit of an eccentric, had a unique taste for everything. During his youth he was the life of the party, he loved socializing and having many friends. Abraham was brave, he left his home in Lebanon several times before the age of 25 to seek for his fortune in different countries such as Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, working as a construction contractor for major projects in the 50's. During the 60's he decided to leave Lebanon and move to Colombia, South America. Without speaking any Spanish, at the age of 25, Abraham arrived to Bogota, Colombia, a very exotic country which at the time was at its highest economic level of the 20th century. It was here where Abraham started his new life, here he worked as a door to door salesman for many years before he met his wife of 45 years, Ana Sofia Nasr, with her he began his family, not too long after he met Ana Sofia they had their first son, David, then Claudia came along. Later in the 1990's Abraham took another leap of faith and decided to move to the United States, it was here where he spent the last 21 years of his life. His later years were spent in peace at his home in Tulsa OK next to his wife and children. Abraham was a loving, kind, sweet man that always smiled and welcomed you in his house with love. He loved his home and spending time with his family. He liked old radios, reading and learning other languages and all kinds of new things. He also liked cooking and sunny summer afternoons in his backyard. He loved eating fruits and listening to the news. Abraham was a beautiful human being, he was by far, one of the most unique individuals you could ever meet, everyone liked Abraham.
Abraham, we love you so much, your spirit still here with us, in our hearts and in our minds
