Alan Drewry, 74, born March 26, 1949, in Heavener, Oklahoma, passed away on March 15, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Alan attended and graduated from Berryhill High School and was called Hoss by his grandfather. He worked at GTE/Verizon Telephone after serving in Vietnam as an air controller on landing strip in Xuan Loc directing helicopters landing and taking off. He would salute the flag during the National Anthem at football and basketball games.
Alan was a bus driver in Mena, AR, Sapulpa, OK and Berryhill, OK. He was a member of the Miata car club and was an OU football and softball fan.
Alan is survived by his daughter: Amanda Drewry of Dallas, TX; brother: Wayne Drewry of Sapulpa, OK; aunts and an uncle and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins of Tulsa, Owasso, Sapulpa, and other parts of the United States.
He was preceded by his parents: Dale and Juanita; sister: Delena Thompson; step-dad: Herbert Chasteen; and sister-in-law: Marsha Drewry.
Memorial Service will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 25th at Allen Free Will Baptist Church, 7001 S. Highway 97, Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
