Alan Vierthaler, 80, of Tulsa died on Saturday, September 7, 2019. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on August 15, 1939, a son of George and Margaret Ramlow Vierthaler.
He married Mary-Ann Scholl on April 20, 1968 in Greendale, WI and she preceded him in death in 2016. He was a retired Graphic Artist and also worked in Marketing for the Port of Catoosa. He had volunteered and served in the US army Reserves and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Alan had a deep love of auto racing, spending many years racing and working on race cars for his brother-in-law at the famed Hales Corners Speedway in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. He also spent time working as a flagman at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Jennings, Oklahoma.
He is survived by two sons, Mark (Erin) Vierthaler of Bixby, OK, and Brian M. Vierthaler of Tulsa, OK; two granddaughters, Taylor and Madison Vierthaler of Bixby, OK; grandson, Andy Vierthaler of Tulsa, OK; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, 6-8 PM at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st St., Tulsa with funeral services on Saturday, September 14, 2019 - 10AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
