Al C. Apitz III, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend died on February 9, 2021 at his home in Bixby. Al was born on March 2, 1955 in Medford, OR. He graduated from Seaman High School, Topeka, KS, in 1973 and married in 1982.
He worked in the Construction trades all his life. He spent 25 years with Flintco in Tulsa, and was with Red Dog Construction, Jenks, when he passed away.
Al is survived by his wife Mary Elaine Apitz, Bixby, two sons Thomas David (Irma) Broken Arrow, Benjamin Oscar "Bo" (Ashley) Brooklyn, NY, six, LIGHT OF HIS LIFE grandchildren, Tom Jr "TJ", Samuel Elijah, Elle Oria, Abigail Grace, Amelia Rose and Lyon Owen, his mother, Mildred Frommel Apitz, Topeka, KS, sisters Anna (Silverman) Baltimore, MD, Alice (Daglen) Dallas, OR, Amy, Topeka, KS and Arlene (Ainslie) Rapid City, SD. Al was preceded in death by his father, Al C. Apitz, Jr.
A Memorial Celebration is scheduled at 2PM, Saturday February 20 at Moore Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Family suggests contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. There will be a webcast of the service at 2 PM at
