The beloved husband, father and grandfather, Alfred R. Teegarden, Jr. age 93, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2019. Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, June 7 at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Burmiester officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Teegarden was born in Kansas City, Kansas on June 25, 1925 to the late Alfred and Olive Teegarden Sr. He graduated from Senior High School and Junior College Bartlesville, OK in 1943. As a brave survivor of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Force from October 1943 until April 1946. During his military service he was honored with numerous medals and was awarded honorable discharge as Sargent. Following the discharge, Alfred attended Phillip's University in Enid, Ok.

He married Leva Etta Edgar June 8, 1951 and they lived in Tulsa since 1971. Mr Teegarden was a senior accountant at Cities Service Oil Company for over 30 years before retiring in 1998. He and Leva were married almost 46 years and were gifted, by the Lord, with three children, a son-in-law and one grandson, before losing Leva and becoming a widower in May of 1997. Alfred was a devout Lutheran and served many roles during the 40 plus years he attended weekly services at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his sister Jeanne.

Survivors include son Brad Teegarden and his wife Jennifer Teegarden, daughter Melissa Graham and her husband Jeff Graham, daughter Kelli Teegarden, two grandsons Jason and Aiden, one granddaughter Parker. He was fortunate to find love a second time and is also survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Geneva Hahn and members of her family.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 East 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 7, 2019 at Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2550 E. 71st, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
