Alice Lou Campbell, 92, passed away October 25, 2016, peacefully at her home. Alice was born November 6, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clarence Campbell and Grace Copeland Campbell.
After graduating in 1940 from Tulsa Central High School, she attended and graduated Cum Laud from Colorado College in the Class of 1944, pledging Phi Beta Kappa. She was an active member of her sorority her entire life. After working with the American Embassy in Paris, France, post WWII, and traveling the world on a scholastic scholarship, Alice returned to the States and earned her master�s degree from the University of Wichita in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 1958. She began her private practice in speech pathology in Tulsa the following year. She served as a board member of the Tulsa City-County Public Health and City-County Public Health Nursing Services, Inc., and was a member of the Medical Advisory Committee and the Utilization Review Board for Public Health Nursing Services in Tulsa. Alice loved gardening and continued to see that her parents� infamous peony garden flourished, a Tulsa attraction for many years.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Grace Campbell, and her brother, Robert Copeland Campbell, lost in WWII.
She leaves behind many friends. A private celebration of Alice�s life will be held on November 6, 2016.
