Obituary

We gather today to honor and remember the life of a remarkable woman-Alice Faye Neeley. Born on November 18, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lillie and Eugene Lancaster. She peacefully departed from this world on May 18, 2025. Alice lived a life full of heart, passion, and unwavering love.

Alice was a proud and devoted mother to Michael and Christona, whom she shared with her first husband, Michael Lowther Sr. Her love for her children was fierce, unshakable, and always at the center of who she was. Later in life, Alice found enduring love and partnership with Larry Neeley Sr., the man with whom she continued to grow, laugh, and build a life filled with deep connection and shared dreams.

Around Tulsa, Alice was affectionately known as the "Rose Lady." With her radiant smile and vibrant energy, she brought beauty and light into unexpected places-selling roses in bars through her beloved business, Chantilly Lace. It wasn't just a business to her; it was a way of bringing a little joy into people's lives, one bloom at a time.

Alice had a flair for the dramatic-she could tell a story like no one else and wasn't afraid to live boldly, with color and style. But more than anything, she had an extraordinary capacity to love. Her love ran deep, and she gave it freely-even when it hurt, even when it was risky. As she herself knew, to love so deeply is not always easy. But to Alice, it was always worth it. She believed in people. She saw their best even when they couldn't see it themselves. And if you were lucky enough to be loved by Alice, you felt it in your bones. You were seen, held, and never forgotten.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie and Eugene Lancaster; her ex-husband, Michael Lowther Sr.; her beloved husband, Larry Neeley Sr.; her sisters, Shirley Probst, Doris Jones, and Carol Fidler; and her biggest heartbreak, the loss of her son, Michael Lowther Jr.

She is survived by her greatest blessing, her daughter Christona, and Christona's husband, James Fields of Tulsa. She also leaves behind her sister Connie and husband Tommy McCord of Seminole, Oklahoma, and her sister Diana Glass of Kansas City, Missouri. Alice's legacy lives on in her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren, each of whom carry a part of her love and spirit into the future.

Though Alice's chapter in this world has come to a close, her story is far from over. It lives on in every rose handed to a stranger, in every act of bold love, and in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence.

We will miss her laugh, her stories, her stubborn strength, and above all, her enormous heart. May we continue to love as she did-with openness, with courage, and without regret
