Alice Ray, born December 29, 1932, was called to be with Jesus on Monday, April 26, 2021. She was born in Union City, KY to James Russel & Anna Ruth Tribble where she grew up on a tobacco farm. She worked for Westinghouse until she met her husband, JV Ray.
After they married, she traveled with him across the United States to follow his career as a civil engineer with Williams Brothers Engineering Company. They settled in Tulsa, OK and she became a beautician and where she had a long career as manicurist.
She leaves behind her beloved granddaughter Dana Lunde and her husband William Lunde and her two great-grandsons Henry Ray Lunde & James Vincent Lunde, all of Poway, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughters Teresa Gravett of Tulsa, Charlotte Stonecipher of Edmond, OK; her grandson Jesse Gattis of Edmond, OK; her sister Willie Mae Poynter of Thibodeaux, LA; her brother James Russell Tribble, Jr of Hobbs, NM.
She was a loving wife, a caring mother, and a one of kind grandmother. Her warm smile, loving embrace, and caring touch will be deeply missed by her family and friends left behind.
