Alice Naomi Tollison, 95, departed this life on April 12, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. She was born October 23, 1921 to Collie and Mary Catherine (Wilclaw) Hawkins in Lone Oak, TX. She met the love of her life, H.E. "Tolly" Tollison, after High School. In 1937 Alice and Tolly married, and together they moved to the Tulsa, OK area in order to find better work opportunities. After moving to Tulsa, Tolly joined the military and served in WWII. While Tolly was serving his country, Alice stayed home to take care of the house, and give birth to their son, Donald Eugene Tollison. Alice worked for John A. Browns as a sales clerk in the fine china department for many years. After Tolly came back from the war they would open and operate Acme Auto and Electric. Together they owned and ran Acme until Tolly passed in 1987. She and Tolly celebrated 49 loving years of marriage before the Lord brought him home. They are now catching up on all their missed date nights. She attended church regularly at South Lakewood Baptist Church until she moved into the nursing facility.
Alice is remembered as a very proper lady, and she tried passing this on to her grandchildren by gifting them etiquette books. Alice is preceded by her loving husband H.E. "Tolly" Tollison; her son, Donald Eugene Tollison; and her parents, Collie and Mary Catherine Hawkins. She is survived by her granddaughter, Kimberly Gibbens; grandson, Jason Tollison; daughter-in-law, Jodee Horn; great-grandchildren, Caylinn Young, Dakota Young, Cheyanne Gibbens, Billy Gibbens and Autumn Gibbens; four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
