Obituary

Alice Teresa Turnbow, 64, went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2018. She was born in Wewoka, OK, on December 6, 1953, to Guy Bart Kiker and Beverly Kiker. Her passion was to be a good mother and grandmother. She will be remembered as being a loving and selfless mother, grandmother, and friend whose faith in God never wavered under any circumstance.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Beverly. She is survived by her husband John; sisters Karen and Caroline; children Tyler (MarRissa) and Angela (Tim); and grandchildren Maxwell and Jaxon. She is also survived by numerous friends that have shown their love and support during her life. Alice loved spending time with her family and friends, as she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

After graduating high school from Northwest Classen in Oklahoma City in 1972, she attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with a degree in business in 1976. While there, she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Upon graduation, she moved to Tulsa, where she met her future husband, John.

She first devoted her time as a homemaker and to raising her children. After that, Alice worked for Jenks Public Schools for 10 years in administration. She also enjoyed playing tennis with family and friends and was a member of Shadow Mountain Racquet Club for many years.

Alice was a long-time member of Asbury United Method Church. She also enjoyed her time in Bible Study Fellowship to strengthen her faith. Her faith was very important to her and she displayed it daily. Those around her were uplifted by her selfless, kind spirit and zealous faith.
