Farley, Allen Duane, Sr., of Tulsa passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 18, 2013. at his home in the presence of his wife and children. He was born August 28, 1935 in Tulsa, OK to Milton and Carrie Farley. He retired 2002 as a 4 term, Wagoner County Commissioner, District 1. While in office he helped establish the Rolling Hills Community Center, the Oak Grove Fire Department and the replacement of the Wagoner County Courthouse. He enjoyed politics and government, owned Farley?s Store.. He had a special talent for accessing Federal and State funds for county projects. He loved to tinker with anything mechanical or electrical. He held patents for an automotive and marine battery recharging system, and a pistol magazine hand loader. His life was fully invested in the people around him. His influence, counsel and support will be remembered fondly by His family, friends and neighbors. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Cozetta Ruth Farley, children, Allen Farley and wife Sherri, Tulsa, Herb Farley, Sand Springs, John Farley and wife Debbie, Sand Springs, Brenna James and husband Larry, Coweta, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sisters Charlene Tealinghaus, Tulsa and Donna Stewart and husband Gayle, Cheyenne, WY. Preceded in death by parents and brother Roy Carlous Farley. Service 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2013, Woodcrest Freewill Baptist Church, interment Dick Duck Cemetery, Catoosa.
