Allen Reese went to be with his Lord on October 24, 2016. He was 92. Born in Allen, Oklahoma, he later lived in Ada, Oklahoma where he played football for Ada High School; then attended East Central University before joining the Army Air Corp. He trained as a B-17 pilot then later in the B-24 bomber. Following WWII, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Business Administration.
He met the love of his life, Donnie Mae Cole, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma while at OU and they were married for 58 years until her death in 2008.
Allen worked in sales and marketing for Phillips Petroleum until he entered business as a wholesale distributor of fuels and automotive supplies. Donnie taught at Fulton Elementary. They had two sons, Jack and Joe and were very involved with their baseball and church youth group activities.
Allen was a deacon and elder at 29th & Yale Church of Christ and later at the Central Church of Christ in Ada. He also served on the Oklahoma Christian University Board of Trustees.
He was a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his two sons and their families; Jack and Patti Reese, children Carrie and Austin Stacey, Lindsay and Aaron Roberts, and Michael Reese; Joe and Carol Reese, children, Erin and Cam Rowan, Lauren and John Lukeman, Megan and Donny Stephens. He was great grandfather to Emerson and Caroline Rowan, Reese Lukeman, Charles Stephens, and Natalie Stacey.
He summed up his life's quest by referring to 3 John 4 "I have no greater joy than to hear my children are walking in the truth."
Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 6:00 -- 8:00 P.M. at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. Memorial service will be at Park Plaza Church of Christ, Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. under the direction of Moore's Southlawn Chapel
