Alma Mae Turner, 96, of Houston, Texas walked through heavens gates to be with her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2024. She was born on August 25, 1927 in Clearwater, FL, and passed away in Sugar Land, TX. The graveside for Alma will be Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Turner was born in Clearwater, FL and grew up in Mishawaka, IN. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and found her joy in being a mother and homemaker. Alma's spouse of 70 years, Lawrence Anthony Turner, preceded her in death, in 2019. She was greatly loved and will be remembered by her two sons, Larry Turner, Jr. (Tracey) of Eufaula, OK, Michael Turner (Deborah) of Sugar Land, TX, and niece Cynthia Harder McBroom of Pearland, TX. Surviving Grandchildren are Trey Turner (Sarah) of Edmond, OK, Shane Turner of Oklahoma City, OK, Rachael Turner of Nashville, TN and David Turner of Sugar Land, TX. Greatgrandchildren include, Drew, Laine, Lawson, Mason, and Matthew. She is also survived by one sister, Shirley Lanoo of Osceola, IN, brothers-inlaw Michael S Turner of Dallas, TX, and Suell Turner of Tulsa, OK as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Star of Texas Hospice, and the many caregivers who provided loving care to her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.
