Obituary

Amy was born on September 27, 1970 at Memorial Hospital in Logansport, Indiana to Rod and Wendy Alvarez.

Amy passed away from this life on December 6, 2024 in her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 53 years old.

Amy had never married and had no children.

She leaves behind her Parents and Siblings. Michelle Renee Williams and her Children, Cory Ryan, Kiara Dawn Williams, and Kilah Dean Williams. She also had two Brothers, Antonio (Tony) Miguel Alvarez and Christopher Sean-Paul Alvarez and his wife, Evelyn Michelle.

There are also many caring Aunts, Uncles and Cousins on both sides of her family who loved Amy very much.

She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Odus Gordon Raymer, 92 in {2013} and Isabelle Louise Dowdy Raymer, almost 83 {2003} Her Paternal Grandparents were Jose C. Alvarez, 91 {2012} and Maria I. Sandoval Alvarez, 98 {2022}.

Amy had become close to her Lord again and started attending South Lakewood Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was welcomed with open arms and shared this with all the Family. She was excited about her very recent reconciliation with Jesus. She was joyously sharing with anyone she could. Amy was recently free of addiction, the Lord was guiding her, and she was proud to tell us this. She had a wonderful joy in her heart and you could see it beaming from her face in the last month before her premature death.

Amy graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1988 with honors. She was a Mensa and Honor Society Student. After graduation, she received a 5-year scholarship at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. She signed up for ROTC at Tulane.

She barely finished her first year when she was diagnosed with Lupus. For a brief time she returned to New Orleans because, she had friends there and loved the area. Then she had to come home and didn't return to school and eventually stayed here in the Tulsa area.
She went back to school in Tulsa and received her Associates Degree at TCC in applied Science in Quality Control and CNC Machining.

Amy loved art. She loved pencil drawings and sketches of which we have framed and displayed. She was a detailed artist. She loved to keep writings she had done. She was a very social person with lots of friends over the years. She loved music. One of her longtime favorite groups were Black-Eyed Peas. She collected Marilyn Monroe Memorabilia since she was young.

The Celebration of Amy's Life with be...Saturday, January 13, 2024 @ 11:00am.
