On July 29, 1971, in Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga, a daughter was born to Doming and Lita Cunanan. They wanted a unique name for this beautiful baby girl and chose Ana Razel Cunanan.
Razel grew up in a loving family that included her parents, brother, Joel, and many aunts and uncles. She held a special place in the hearts of her cousins in the Philippines, Maryland and Texas. They called her Ti Thei or Thei. She was especially fond of Michael Nunn, the oldest first cousin once removed, but made each one that followed feel special.
She graduated high school in the Philippines and moved with her family to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a private person and liked to remain in the shadows. Hobbies included drawing, decorating cakes; scrap booking and creating designs with the embroidery machine. She also enjoyed playing chess. She enjoyed working for AEP as an administrative assistant.
When her health began to fail, she withdrew from public gatherings. Her family and friends continued to pour out their love by way of phone calls and prayers. A few weeks before she passed away, she changed. She told the family that burdens were lifted up. They had fun recalling, "the good old days."
The family feels that she really appreciated Pastor Bro. Lattimer and his wife for coming to visit and praying for her in the hospital.
Razel passed away November 8, 2017, at 46 years old. She was preceded in death by her mother, Angelita Cunanan. She is survived by her father, Dominador Cunanan and brother, Joel Cunanan of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Memorial Park Chapel in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
