Obituary

At the grand age of 90, the Rev. Andrew Doran McDonald Graham went to be with God on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. He was born July 4, 1924, in Glasgow, Scotland, to Blanche Mary and Kenneth Graham. He grew up in England and was educated at Stamford School, one of the oldest minor public schools in Britain. During World War II, he enlisted in Scotland's premier regiment, The Black Watch, at the tender age of 17, transferring to the Highland Light Infantry as a mountaineer. He was twice wounded in action. He married Elizabeth Anne Pearce in 1948 and had four children Janice, Stuart, Russell and Helen. After surrendering his life to God in 1954 during Billy Graham's London Crusades at Harringay, Drew and Anne devoted themselves to God's service, serving in London and in Denmark. In April 1964, he brought his family to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to work as an editor for T.L. Osborn. During his fifty years in Tulsa, he had a wide array of jobs and found many opportunities to continue his missionary service.
His life of ministry included becoming an ordained priest in 1997 with the Charismatic Episcopal Church, and later, as an associate priest at St. Michael's Anglican Church. Drew became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1993, but was always proud of his Scottish ancestry and heritage, serving as the Bard of Tulsa Scottish Club for many years and as the Chief of Tulsa's Highland Scottish Games in 2003. Andrew will always be remembered for his devotion to God, his wife and family; his quick wit and keen mind; his love of books and the written word; his poetry and inspired preaching; his love for sports (Jenks Trojans, Dallas Cowboys, st. Louis Cardinals and all things soccer); his strong faith and commitment to follow Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Elizabeth Anne Graham, four children and their families including eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter: Janice and Terry Allyn; Philip and Rachel Allyn; Hilary Allyn; Stuart and Rozalind Graham; lan, Courtney and Evie Graham; Taylor Graham; Russell, Rene', Leslie and Haley Graham; Helen, Dave, Hannah and Drew Harris.

Services are scheduled for Monday, September 22, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Anglican Church, 8837 S. Garnett Road, Broken Arrow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Michael's Anglican Church. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
