Obituary
Angelo Anthony D'Alessandro, 91, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Sunday, December 21st, 2025. He was born April 27, 1934, in Lackawanna, NY to Christoforo and Anna (Bonitatibus) D'Alessandro. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 63 years, Gloria A. (Cipriano) D'Alessandro; and brother and sister-in-law, John and Patricia D'Alessandro.
Angelo was a physician (DO) for over 60 years in Tulsa and had a private practice. He also worked at Moton Clinic and other clinics for many years, finally retiring at age 89.
He took great pride in serving as the Commander of the 138th Medical Group Air National Guard. Then, Angelo served in the Air Force Reserve in the 193rd Air Lift Wing as a Flight Surgeon. He was stationed at Scott Air force Base on active duty during the First Gulf War. He retired as a Colonel in the Air Force Reserve.
Angelo is survived by four sons and one daughter: Christopher D'Alessandro of Tulsa, OK; Ninette Ashley, PhD., and husband John, M.D. of Tulsa, OK; Peter D'Alessandro, Esq. and wife Deborah Stedman, M.D. of Houston, TX; David D'Alessandro, M.D. and wife Jennifer of Owasso, OK; Angelo D'Alessandro, Jr. and wife Judith of Broken Arrow, OK. Angelo was the proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren: Erin, Angelo, Wayne, Karis, Ruthie, Kylie, Thomas, Kenzi, Joshua, Rachel, Jiovanni, Jenevieve, Laurelyn, Jacob, and Jordan. His great-grandchildren are Emily, Evelyn, Eleanor, and Julius.
Angelo was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a quiet man, who loved to read and study military history. His death leaves a hole in the fabric of the family, but they are comforted by the fact that he is now with his beloved wife Gloria.
Memorials may be made in Angelo's name to the following organizations: St. Jude's, Wounded Warrior Project, or Catholic Charities.
