Brown, Anita A., 89, of Tulsa, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. She was born June 11, 1926 in Tulsa, OK to Jess H. and Amallia Allende. During WWII, Anita worked as a riveter. She retired from Zales Jewelry after 40 plus years, then cleaned houses until May of this year. She was a member of Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church for over 30 years. Anita will be fondly remembered for her love of her Bible, gardening and her quick wit. She is survived by one son, Orvil Joseph Brown, Jr.; nephews John M. Collier and his wife Barbara, Randal Collier and his wife Tona, Paul Smith and his wife Larona; nieces Judy Hooper, Anita Christine Hilton and her husband Jimmie of Tulsa, Barbara Bagley, Loma Mallard, Rita LaPointe, all of California; and numerous cousins. Anita is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Orvil J. Brown; her brother David Allende; and her sister Jean Smith.
