Obituary

Anita Maxine Finley, age 85, passed peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning, May 5th, 2020, at her home in Bixby, Oklahoma.
Anita was born December 31st, 1934, in Wellsville, MO. Too early to be "Baby New Year" of Wellsville, yet just barely providing her parents that 1934 Tax Deduction.
Preceding her in death was her loving husband of 33 years, Lloyd Eugene (Gene) Finley. They met at school in New Bloomfield, MO, and he courted her on horseback. Also preceding her was her mother Gladys (Adams) Bell, and her father Walter Clark Sr.
Anita leaves two sons and their wives: David and Sherri Finley, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Brian and Marianne Finley, of Chandler, Arizona. She also leaves six grandchildren: Daniel, Joshua, Matthew Christopher, Danielle and Alissa, along with ten great-grandchildren: Jordan, Jackson, Jeremy, Nathan, Adrienne, Cameron, Cassidy, Dawson, Trevor, and Adelyn - as well as many nieces and nephews.
She also leaves one brother, Walter (Buddy) Clark of New Bloomfield, MO, and two sisters, Debbie Cansler and Charlotte Johnson of Kansas City, MO.
Anita was raised in the Christian faith, and she passed with great faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. She was the dedicated military wife of a career Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, living in cities all across the United States. She loved traveling home virtually every summer and Christmas for family reunions to see her mother, sisters and brother in New Bloomfield, MO. Having lived in so many places, she made many friends over the years that loved her dearly.
Anita got her life-long wish to travel to Hawaii in December of 2016, for seven beautiful days with her son Brian. She was glowing with such happiness during that trip that a waitress where they dined called her a "Christmas Angel".
She was a volunteer at the American Legion of Tulsa, along with the Local VFW of Tulsa. She spent many years working for Shell Oil Corp in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she retired in 1995.
Anita deeply loved her husband, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved her beautiful Siamese cat, Mimi, who lived with her up until her passing.
Services will be held as a private family event with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on May 8th, 2020.

The family has placed an open invitation to join in the services via Zoom meeting. Links: https://Dell.zoom.us/j/98470706077 or via an browser https://Dell.zoom.us/wc/join/98470706077
