Starts at 10:30 am (Central time)
Ann Tighe, known lovingly as Miss Ann, Mom, Grandma Ann, and Grandma Great, passed away on April 3, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 92 years old.
Ann was born on September 19, 1933, in Casper, Wyoming, where she grew up and developed the determination and warmth that would define her entire life. She attended the University of Wyoming, where she earned her education degree and became a proud member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Following college, she married the love of her life, William C. Tighe, and together they set out to build a life and a family.
The couple moved to west Texas, where they lived in Andrews, Midland, Fort Worth, and Odessa before eventually settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ann was deeply dedicated to her three amazing children, Carol, Cynthia, and Mark, and she poured her heart into raising them. Once in Tulsa, she followed her passion for education, teaching first grade at Walt Whitman and Emerson Elementary schools. She retired from Tulsa Public Schools after 25 devoted years of shaping young minds. Grandma Ann dearly loved her 5 grandkids and 8 great grandkids.
Ann was known for her thoughtfulness, kindness, organization, and timeliness. She was a determined woman who cared deeply about the people around her. She enjoyed golf, though she would be the first to tell you she was not very good at it, along with bridge, entertaining, sewing, crossword puzzles, reading, and keeping up with Fox News. She was actively involved in her community through the Society of Petroleum Engineers, her church activities, golf league, and Miller Swim School.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Tighe, and her daughter, Carol Tighe Bryant. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Zenor, and her son, Mark Tighe, along with all those fortunate enough to call her Grandma Ann and Grandma Great.
Above all, Ann's life centered around her faith in Christ, her family, and her friends. She lived with a servant's heart, and her legacy of love and devotion will continue to bless all who knew her.
Final arrangements have been made through Moore Southlawn Funeral Home. Services for Ann Tighe will be held on April 9, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Interment for the family will take place at 9:30 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 S Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 4102 E 61st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74136.
