Obituary

Anna M. McCharen, 83, of Edmond Oklahoma, died March 20, 2019 at Evergreen Care Center in Owasso Oklahoma. She was born on November 13, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri to Walter and Anna Gregor. Anna was a faithful and devoted mother who worked tirelessly to make ends meet and provide for her three daughters. When she had to support her family, she was a factory worker at the Firestone Tire Plant until she retired. After retiring, she was never bored. She enjoyed special memories with her grandchildren whom she loved so much. When they had sleepovers at her house, she let them have dessert first and then dinner. She loved being at home with her cats and visiting with family and friends.

She was very active in her church and always made prayer a priority. Her favorite book was the Bible. "No matter how many times you read it, God opens up new and greater revelations in your life. I feel God, my Father, has made every provision for me throughout my life and will continue until I go home."

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anna Nasedkin and her Brother-in-law Richard Zegers. She is survived by her sister, Ethel Zegers; daughters, Peggy McMahon (Gary) and Elizabeth Baggett (Steve); seven grandchildren, Amee Payne (Brad), Aaron Majors, Katherine Goodrich (Adam), Amanda Pelcher (Derrick), Molly O'Brien, Samuel O'Brien (Christina), David Baggett (Sarah); five great-granddaughters, 2 great-grandsons; several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Her daughters would like to thank family and friends for their loving support and care given to their mother over the last few years of her life. We are also thankful for the kind and loving caregivers and staff at Evergreen Care Center and Season's Hospice who met her day to day needs with grace and love.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, March 26, at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, Tulsa Oklahoma. Services under the direction of Moore's Southlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association via a link to Anna's Tribute page:
