Anna Lee Stock, 96, passed away on November 26, 2024. Anna Lee will be remembered for her devotion to her family, friends, service, and faith.
Anna Lee and her late spouse, Arnold, were married for 48 years. She is survived by her daughters, Leslie (Mitch) and Nancy (Paul) and her much loved grandchildren Kristin, Abby, Jonathan (Shannon) and her great grandson, Jensen.
Anna Lee was born in the farming community of Hickory Grove, OK. She was a graduate of Haskell High School, OSU, and TU. She was an early childhood educator in Tulsa for 23 years, teaching kindergarten at various elementary schools. She was an active, longtime member of John Knox Presbyterian Church where she served in many capacities through the years. She was a member of Sweet Adelines and numerous other choral groups. She was a resident of Inverness Village for over 20 years.
Anna Lee was skilled in organization and planning. She preferred to work alone. She enjoyed small children, and she greeted them everywhere she went. She also enjoyed Oklahoma history, travelling throughout the U.S. and internationally, writing stories, and reading. A good mystery novel would keep her up all night. She left us with wonderful family memories and a desire to love and serve others. Mom's favorite saying was:
"You are not likely to be sent out under the will of God to do startling, impossible things. You are likely to be sent out to do the quiet, unspectacular things that matter precisely where you are and with what you have." (Scherer)
She was grateful for her many blessings. She appreciated the small things in life and felt a closeness to God in her garden.
The family would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to those who cared for her in her last years: Inverness Village, In Care private duty and Suncrest Hospice. Memorial gifts can be made to: Suncrest Hospice, Inverness Village Benevolence Fund, or John Knox Presbyterian Church.
Private Family Service is planned. Moore Southlawn 918-663-2233
