Obituary

Anne Keeton McCune, wife of the late Gordon McCune, died on May 22, 2026 at 97. Born Anne Blair Keeton on August 22, 1928 in Lexington, Kentucky to Carrie Blair and Arthur Keeton, Anne graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1949. Anne met Gordon in 1950 in Tulsa while working as a stewardess for American Airlines, a job she adored and spoke of often. They were married in 1951 and had 62 long years together. Anne participated in the Tulsa Junior League and belonged to countless local organizations. Anne and Gordon traveled extensively but always returned to summers at Grand Lake, and to Santa Fe, their home away from home. Anne was a sharp Bridge player, a vibrant conversationalist, crazy for golf, and a passionate needle pointer. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church and maintained a long prayer list by memory.

Anne was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Gordon A. McCune and by her eldest daughter, Margaret Blair McCune (Margi). She is survived by her son M. Davis McCune (Sherri), daughter Kelly Miller McCune (Robert Miller), granddaughters Blair, Loren, Isabel, Michela, Ivy, Francesca, Sofia, and two great-grandchildren, Eve and Elise.

Anne will be laid to rest at Gordon's side in Memorial Park in Tulsa on July 25, 2026 following a brief service at graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 3001 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Tulsa, OK 74106.
