Ardis passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014. She was born October 20, 1930 in Custer, South Dakota to Clifford and Alta Malcolm. She was a secretary for Hale-Halsell. She was a member of Memorial Drive Methodist Church and enjoyed vacationing with her sister, RVing and square dancing. She was an avid reader and crocheted many afghans over the years. She retired with her husband to Table Rock in Missouri. Survived by husband of 64 years Vernon McDowell, sons Neil McDowell and his wife Susan of Broken Arrow and Larry McDowell and wife Toni Hayden of Spring, TX, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and sister Lois Freeman of Broken Arrow. Preceded in death by parents and brother-in-law Walter L. Freeman.
