Arlene Pelton, most recently of Bloomington, MN, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. She had recently celebrated her 90th birthday.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Colwell (Ted) of Edina, MN; her two grandchildren, Emele Colwell and Philip Colwell; her brother, Allen Smith (Betty) of Leesburg, FL; her sister, Wanda of Springfield, MO; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Pelton; her parents, Alfred and Grace Smith; and her sister, Doris Robertson.

Arlene lived in the Tulsa area (Tulsa, Owasso) until the passing of her husband, Jack in October 2020. At that time, she relocated to Minnesota to be near her daughter and her daughter's family. Arlene loved Oklahoma and spoke fondly of it frequently. She loved the people, their kindness, and their way of doing things.

After graduating in 1952 from Tulsa Central High School, Arlene began her work career in the insurance industry working as an office assistant. She worked for over 50 years in the insurance industry working as an assistant to brokers and independent insurance agents. Her keen eye for detail and her organizational skills served her well in her work life. Some of her most valued friendships were with her coworkers.

An 11 a.m. graveside service is planned for Monday, September 18, 2023, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 S Memorial Dr., Tulsa, OK 74145. All are welcome.
