Arlyn Romeo Daering, 87, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Howard and Kathryn Daering.
Arlyn was a 1951 graduate of Logan High School in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He joined the Navy after High School and retired after twenty years of service as a Chief Warrant Officer. He and his wife, Shirley, moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Arlyn worked for IBM and retired after twenty years. Arlyn and Shirley were long-time members of Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa.
Arlyn is survived by his devoted wife and companion of 64 years, Shirley. He was preceded in death by two infant sons, Michael and Timothy and survived by three daughters, Shari Brown, Teresa Biles and Kirsten Linkous, husband Byron, six grandchildren; Paul Brown and wife, Erin, Rebekah King and husband, Zach, Benjamin Linkous, Emma Linkous, Katie Linkous and Claire Linkous; and two great grandchildren, Winston and Lincoln Brown. Arlyn was preceded in death by his Father and Mother and brother, Duane Daering, and is survived by his sister, Karyn Lee Maio and niece, Diana Maio, nephew Randy Daering and niece Laurie Rutkowski, husband Greg.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, September 18th, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Pastor Dick Read officiating.
