Obituary

Armelda Kay Randall, born December 31, 1926, affectionately known as "Mimi" to her family, passed away on Friday, April 7th, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the wife of Frank Randall. They shared 43 years of marriage together.

Born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of T. M. and Mary Ann Kay. She was the Valedictorian of Holdenville High, class of 1944. She and two of her sisters - Opal Bullock and Ruby Kay - traveled the country with Oral Roberts and his ministry as The Singing Kay Sisters. She worked for the Rural Electric Cooperative as a fashion editor. She later worked at the state capitol building in Oklahoma City as an elevator operator. She met Frank Randall on a blind date, and four months later they were married, on May 26, 1961. On June 6, 1962 they welcomed their only child, Nancy Kay Randall. They moved to Tulsa in 1965, where she began a 25 year career at Messick Construction Company. She was a member of Evangelistic Temple, American Business Women's Association, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Daughters of the Confederacy. She enjoyed reading, traveling, church activities, and thrift store shopping. She will be remembered for her smile, her infectious laugh, and her strong Christian faith.

She is survived by her only child, Nancy Kay Estes and son-in-law John Estes, both of Tulsa; her four grandsons: Wesley DeHart, Calvin DeHart, Alexander DeHart, and Bennett DeHart; two sisters: Mary Ruth Taylor of Chandler, OK, and Lela McKey of Shawnee, OK; as well as her many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Randall.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 13th, at 2pm at Spirit Life Church, 56th and Peoria in Tulsa, with internment at the Bixby cemetery. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 12th, from 6 to 8pm, at Moore Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, at 26th and Harvard in Tulsa.
