Lamb, Arno Lee -- age 91, went to Heaven on March 5, 2013. Arno was the 3rd
of seven children and attended Tulsa Central High School. He proudly served
his country in World War II as a highly decorated war hero, US Army Technical
Sergeant, in the European Theater. Upon returning he served on the Tulsa Fire
Department as a Fire Equipment Operator. During that time, Arno was
discovered to be an outstanding softball pitcher and went on to win the World
Series of Softball in 1955. Upon returning to Tulsa, he worked as a City of
Tulsa Streets Supervisor. He served for many years as the Head Usher at the
Tenth and Rockford Church of Christ where he worshipped with his wife for 57
years. Arno is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda, grandchildren Bryan
C. Lamb, Tracy and husband Keith Schick, Michael Lee Lamb, Ashley Rene and
husband Chris Baldwin and great granddaughter McKenzie Schick, as well as 35
nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his son, Howard Allen Lamb.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 8,
2013, at the Tenth and Rockford Church of Christ. Interment will follow at
Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may donate to
