Arthur Lee Anders, 88, of Sand Springs, OK. Died March 4, 2013. Arthur was born June 22, 1924 in Winchester, IL, to Alva and Nina (Baird) Anders.
Arthur served in the U.S. Navy during WWII where he did maintenance work on various aircrafts, like the Hellcats, Wildcats, P51?s and Corsairs. Following the war he flew for the Civil Air Patrol. He worked in sales providing petroleum support products.
Arthur had a green thumb, enjoyed coon hunting, spelunking, flying and most of all he had the passion of learning and could fix/repair anything.
He attended Eastwood Baptist Church and was involved with financial support of Holy Land Ministries and Wycliffe Mission.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mildred and daughter in law, Tenia Anders.
Survived by: son; Mike Anders of Tulsa, daughters; Tonya Stuckey and husband Don of Tulsa, Tammy Browning and husband Greg of Atlanta, GA, Carolyn Brittain and husband Dan of Sand Springs. 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brothers; James Anders and wife Eileen of Pennsylvania, Donald Anders and wife Rose of Colorado, sister; Shirley Lear of Tulsa.
