Barbara Ann Albus, age 65, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday morning, May 26, 2024, surrounded by loved ones and friends. Barbara was a selfless person who faithfully loved her family and everyone else. She lived by the quote, "We don't have friends; we have family."

Barbara was born in Tulsa on June 7, 1958, to the late Charles Edward (Chuck) Abel and Ona Adene Abel. She enjoyed playing softball as a child. As a teenager with long, beautiful, brown hair, she caught the attention of Joseph Edward (Joe) Albus and was married to the love of her life on her sixteenth birthday. Barbara always enjoyed spending time with family, shopping with her daughter, going to the casino, and bowling. Forever in love, Barbara and Joe exemplified steadfast commitment throughout their journey together in life.

In addition to her parents, Barbara's sister, Clara Charlene Simpson, preceded her in death. Barbara is survived by her loving and devoted husband of forty-nine years, eleven months, and nineteen days and their children- Joseph Edward Albus, II (Sallie) of Pell City, AL; Gina Marie Albus of Tulsa, OK; and Charlie Joe Albus (Janice) of Culbertson, MT. She was especially proud of her grandchildren-Tristen Joe (Ashley Graham), Andrea Sonali, Victoria Ann, Sierra Edann, Joseph Lane, Cody Abel, Taivyn Joe, and Jodi Marie-and her great-grandson, Myles Joseph, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life service, with Joseph (Jody) Albus officiating, will be held Friday, May 31, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, followed by burial at Spade Mountain Cemetery, Spade Mountain, OK near Stilwell, OK.

Viewing will take place at the Moore's Eastlawn Chapel on Thursday, May 30, 2024, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. At the request of the family, please wear bright purple, Barbara's favorite color.
