Barbara L. Beck, 66, of Tulsa, passed away May 6, 2016.
Barbara was born July 27, 1949 in Cushing, Oklahoma, the daughter of William and Bonnie Weaver. After growing up in Cushing, Barbara attended the University of Oklahoma where she met and later married Steve Beck. After graduation, Steve and Barbara moved to Tulsa where they raised their two daughters, Lesley and Ashley. Before retiring in July 2015, Barbara worked as an administrative assistant for several companies in Tulsa, most recently Blue Cross Blue Shield. She enjoyed watching OU Sooner football games, doing crossword puzzles, working in the yard, and watching her beloved grandkids participate in various sporting events.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Steve Beck. She is survived by her sister, Brenda Weaver of Cushing, daughters Lesley Fisher and Ashley Johnson of Jenks, grandchildren Bailey Mader and Alex Fisher, and several other relatives and close friends.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Thursday, May 12th from 6pm to 8pm at Five Oaks Lodge in Jenks, OK.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
