Barbara Britten, 75, passed away on September 6, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a life-long resident of Tulsa. Barbara was born on April 3, 1947, to Charles and Billee Britten in Tulsa. She was a 1965 graduate of Nathan Hale High School. For many years, she was an office manager for several businesses in the Tulsa area.
Barbara was known by her family and friends as being a very giving and generous person. She was always wanting to help others and never expected anything in return. She enjoyed watching television, especially her favorite soap opera, Gunsmoke episodes, and baseball games. In her earlier years, she enjoyed fishing, whether she was catching anything or not. Anyone who knew her also knows how much she loved animals, especially her cat(s).
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, an older sister Bee Haley, and her beloved cat, Christine.
She is survived by her brother, Fred Britten (Lois) of Hays, Kansas; and her sister Brenda Britten Pixley, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also survived by five nieces and one nephew, four great nieces, and three great nephews. In addition, she is survived by her cherished cat, Charlie.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 4:00 PM in the Family Center of Moore's Southlawn Chapel at 9350 E. 51st St., Tulsa, Oklahoma.
