Barbara Duling, a long-time resident of Kingwood, TX died peacefully on Sunday June the 18th at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Born in 1933 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she was the only daughter of Nell and Calvin. Barbara graduated from Will Rogers High School and then attended the University of Tulsa where she pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Tulsa is where she met the love of her life and her future husband of 40 years. Barbara and Don were married in 1952 and had one son.

Barbara was a loving wife, a full time mother and homemaker in her early years. She taught Sunday school and was always active in her Church community. After losing her husband Don at an early age, she developed a passion for traveling with friends and caring for her grandchildren. Barbara loved entertaining, good food and socializing. She participated in bridge clubs and was a member of a number of community organizations and social clubs. She enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. Barbara never went anywhere that she did not leave without a new friend.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Duling, and her special daughter-in-law, Julie Duling, who cared for her during her illness. Barbara had two wonderful grandchildren, Danny Duling and Ashley Ervin, and six great grandchildren. Just the thought of them brought great joy to her in her later years. She was a very generous, devoted friend and family member, and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
