Barbara Joan (Wolfe) Iverson, 89, of Tulsa, OK passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
She was born October 22, 1934, in Tulsa, OK to Douglas Isaac Wolfe and Nellie May (Hesson) Wolfe. She attended Central High School and graduated from Skiatook High School Class of '52. She was crowned Football Queen in 1951 and then attended Business School.

She went to work for Amerada Petroleum in 1952. She was a volunteer with the Saint Francis Hospital Auxiliary for over 26 years. Barbara attended First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for over 60 years and was a member of the Double Ring Sunday School Class. She fiercely loved her family and friends, ever the consummate hostess and caregiver.

Barbara married Donald Joseph Iverson on January 2, 1954. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years; her parents, Douglas & Nellie Wolfe; and sisters Irene Gray and Billie Raglin.

She is survived by her children: son, Mike Iverson and wife, Loretta of Tulsa, OK; daughters Kim Stansell of Broken Arrow, OK and Nanci Brown and husband, James of Flower Mound, TX; Grandchildren, Michelle (Jonathan) Knott, Kyle (Charity) Iverson, Ian (Audrey) Stansell, Morgan (Kyle) Shannon, Isaac Stansell; Great Grandchildren, Amelia, Julia, and Merida Knott; Ash, Lailie and Malachi Iverson; Liam and Declan Stansell; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the care team at Inverness Skilled Nursing and the wonderful team at Saint Francis Hospice who cared for Mom over the past few weeks.

Barbara loved flowers. However, if you prefer, donations may be made to Saint Francis Hospice or the Saint Francis Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers or the charity of your choice.
