It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Barbara McGregor, who departed this life on September 8, 2024 at the age of 80. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Born on November 8, 1943 in Binghamton, New York, Barbara was a testament to the joy of giving as she took immense pleasure in gifting to her family and ensuring that everyone felt special and cherished, particularly on birthdays and holidays. Her thoughtful presents, often given without any particular reason other than her boundless love, will be fondly remembered by all who received them. Barbara had a way of finding joy in little things and thoroughly enjoyed Blues music. She had a great heart and a great work ethic that was unmatched. She liked to be on time (or early) and she liked to keep people in line, showing off her feisty side every now and again.
The holidays were especially dear to Barbara. She had a unique talent for making the holidays special for all, creating an atmosphere filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Her home was full of decorations and celebration. Her festive spirit and the love she poured into Christimas will be profoundly missed.
A passionate lover of live music, Barbara found great joy in attending music festivals. Music was her soul's delight, and she shared this love with her family and friends as she loved to experience the magic of live performances. Her enthusiasm for music was infectious, and many will carry forward her love for it in her memory.
Barbara is survived by her son, Jason McGregor, daughter-in-law, Amber McGregor, her 3 grandchildren, Garrett (25), Gavin (13) and Camryn (11), and her long-time partner in crime, Greg Hill, who will continue to honor her legacy of love, generosity, and the importance of family. She also leaves behind a host of friends who were touched by her kindness, loyalty and spirit.
There will be a viewing on Sunday, September 15th from 4:00 to 6:00 at Moore Funeral Home. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Monday, September 16th at 11:00 at Moore Funeral Home at 9350 E 51st St, Tulsa, OK 74145.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to StreetCats Inc., a cause she held close to her heart.
Though she is no longer with us, the love and joy she brought into our lives will remain forever. Rest in peace, dear Barbara. Your legacy of love will continue to inspire and guide us.
With love and remembrance,
McGregor Family
