Barbara Jean Newman, 96, of Tulsa, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020. She was born June 13, 1924 in Eureka, KS to Eugene and Ruth Martin. Barbara Jean was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. She was also a member of "Peace Maker Quilters", "United Methodist Women" and "Oklahoma Home and Community Education". She enjoyed quilting and loved fishing and camping. Barbara Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Michael Baker of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Corey Baker, Colin Baker, Annette Byington and Mark Blue and his wife Therese; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgil Newman; her daughter, Sharon Blue; and her sister, Wanda Gipson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.
